Amy Jeanroy, "The Farming Wife" has been
writing about homesteading and rural living for 20 years. She currently lives
on a 200 acre homestead overlooking the Bay of Fundy in Downeast Maine, where
she grows gardens and raises livestock with her family.
Amy is a Master gardener and has owned a greenhouse
business since 2010, growing plants, produce and seeds for the farmer’s market.
She grows herbs and makes herbal products for the farmer’s market and has
taught many classes on herbs for the farm, greenhouse growing, fermenting
foods, canning and preserving, pruning and livestock management.
Amy has been a guest on the Martha Stewart
Living radio show, the Take Care Wellness program on NPR, PBS’s Earth Eats, The Wisconsin Vegetable Gardener Podcast and Magazine and has been a speaker at the Nebraska Dairy Goat Association as well as at the Healthy Farm Conference, hosted by the Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society.
